Herb Marynell and Steve Bagbey: Mob Murder of America's Greatest Gambler
Monday, June 3, 7:00 p.m.

Herb Marynell served 34 years as a reporter with Evansville, Ind., newspapers and has a journalism degree from the University of Missouri. He has reported on the investigation into the murder of Ray Ryan since the fatal car bombing in 1977. Herb spent four years researching the life of Ray Ryan and the Chicago hoodlum who wanted Ryan dead and interviewed hundreds of people who knew about various aspect and individuals involved in both of the men’s lives.
Steve Bagbey served on 26 years on the Evansville, Ind., city police department. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and also served 16 years on the Evansville city council. Steve has spent 35 years trying to bring closure to Ryan’s murder and amassed thousands of federal and local law enforcement documents used in the investigation. He continues to pursue the case even today.
The lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Books are available for purchase in our shop and may be signed. Free for members. $5.00 for non-members.
