American Victorianism lasted from roughly 1875 to 1910. It was an offshoot of the period from 1837 to 1901 in the United Kingdom.

The Reitz Home Guild plays a vital role at the Reitz Home Museum. They contribute financially through annual events such as the Victorian Tea, Style Show, and Holiday Brunch, as well as holding six luncheon programs each year.
Reitz Home Museum members are eligible for membership in the Reitz Home Guild. Guild dues are and additional $15, annually. Museum membership is a pre-requisite to becoming a member of the Guild.
